Non-discrimination

Non-discrimination

The right to non-discrimination is specific element of the general equality clause in the Constitution, among other regulation texts, according to which the citizens as a whole must receive equal treatment by the administration and be liable to the same legal consequences of the same behaviours and actions.

Moreover, the right to non-discrimination proscribes certain discriminatory attitudes which are not based on a breach of generic principles of equality but on specific reasons and motives for discrimination which condemn certain sectors of the population to vulnerability, a whittling away of their rights and an attack on their very dignity.

At Col·lectiu Ronda our ideology includes the defence of the right of every person to an independent, decent and free life and the right to not suffer any kind of persecution, discrimination, abuse or marginalisation for reasons of sex, ethnicity, origin or language.
